The concept + struggle of mixing metals has become increasingly more popular and we personally are not afraid of this trend. With unlaquered and antiqued brass re-emerging as the finish of the moment, we try to mix it in without overwhelming the space or the client. People can be a little wary of this classic finish, recalling the bright brass doorknobs of yesteryear, but today’s brass is SO. MUCH. BETTER. We’ve rounded up some of our favorite + most successful metal mixing rooms for your viewing pleasure.

In one of our favorite master baths ever, we used satin nickel plumbing and hardware and popped it with some brass sconces and a champagne-y framed mirror. To fully tie the finishes together, Segreto Finishes added a gold leafing to our cabinet panels. The end result is something that feels fresh, yet pulled together.
For this home on the Bayou, we used brass hardware, a satin nickel faucet and stainless hood and oil-rubbed bronze/black on the lighting and custom open shelving. The finishes marry in a way that we adore, and that gorgeous Ann Sacks backsplash isn’t hard to look at either.
Ok, this one’s all brass, BUT LOOK HOW PRETTY!
